The Social Concerns committee exists to lead our parish in social justice activity, guided by Catholic Social teaching.
Mission Statement for St Mary's Social Concerns Committee.
The St. Mary's Parish Social Concerns Committee is called to live out the Gospel message of respecting human life and dignity by working for justice and peace through education, prayer, and action. Our ongoing mission will be determined through informed and respectful discernment of priorities, activities, and projects embraced and undertaken by this group, in consultation with the broader parish community.
We will encourage St. Mary's parishioners to volunteer their efforts in service to the needs of the poor and the marginalized whenever and wherever such needs exist.
The committee meets monthly to live out the Gospel message to respect human life and dignity, and to work for justice and peace. Anyone is welcome to attend. For more information contact the Parish Office at 507-457-9521 or Tom Parlin at [email protected].
